Catholic Church Even More Hypocritical Than Once Believed!
As reported in LA Times, the former Archbishop of Portland William Levada argued that a woman who's child was fathered by a church seminarian (now a priest in Whittier, CA) should have used birth control.
The child's mother had engaged "in unprotected intercourse . . . when [she] should have known that could result in pregnancy," the church maintained in its answer to the lawsuit.
Once again, the right outs itself: birth control, abortion, pre-marital sex. All these things are wrong and sinful when they are done by liberal, non-believing women who manage to live their lives without being under the control of men.
However, if a Catholic man wants to have pre-marital sex and needs to use birth control to save his reputation (and pocket book), by all means, woman, "get thee to a pharmacy, quick!"
