2006 and APPO in Oaxaca

It's very hard to find an objective account of what happened in 2006 in the city of Oaxaca with the teachers' strike and eventual APPO takeover of the city for 6 months. Even the wikipedia entry notes that the "neutrality is disputed." I read "The People Decide," a first person account by Nancy Davies; it's interesting but the author makes no attempt to hide her bias.

The factual account in this essay by George Salzman is a good primer though.

Remember also that George Salzman and Nancy Davies are a "couple". So the bias is there for both of them.
